What We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Ambassador Christian Church | Chanute, KS based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.

God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Church is the body of Christ on Earth (Ephesians 4:1-16)
Resurrection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
The Bible
Is the inspired word of GOD (II Timothy 3:16), that it changes lives (Hebrews 4:12), and that it leads us to salvation (Romans 1:16); II Timothy 3:15)

Jesus Christ
is absolute deity (Colossians 2:9; John 1:1, 14, 8:58, 14:7, 19:7; Philippians 2:5-7), the one and only son of GOD (Matthew 16:16; John 3:16) and the one and only way to Heaven (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) who died for our sins and rose from the dead for our hope (I Corinthians 15:1-8; John 20:1-31; I Peter 1:3-5)
External Life
is available to all who believe and receive Jesus as LORD and savior (John 1:12, 3:16)
Baptism
is the immersion in water of a repentant believer for the forgiveness of sins and symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as well as our death to sin.  Burial with Christ and resurrection into new life with him (Acts 2:38, 8:9-40, 16:13-34; Romans 6:1-11)
LORD's Supper
In observing the LORD's supper (Communion) each LORD's day.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit lives and dwells in the body of the believer
(Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20)
Heaven and Hell
In Heaven (Philippians 3:20) and Hell (Matthew 10:28; Luke 16:19-31) and a final judgement (John 5:24-29; Acts 17:30-31; Hebrew 9:27)

Every Person
That every person has worth as a creation of GOD (Genesis 1:26-27), but that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD (II Corinthians 5:17-20)
Ambassadors
That we, as ambassadors for Christ, are to connect people with GOD (II Corinthians 5:17-20)

Jesus WILL Return
That Jesus will return again to earth for his people
(John 14:1-3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 22:20)

Message from Pastor Tim
We are so glad you are visiting today!
If you are browsing to consider a visit to the Ambassador Christian Church, let me encourage you to give us a try!

Once you arrive at the church, you will be welcomed and offered donuts, coffee, juice and water. When you find a seat, just look up at one of the screens and you will see information that tells you about future events and happenings going on at Ambassador. Once our worship services begin, you will be inspired by praise and worship from the Ambassador Worship Team. After a time of worship, you will be encouraged to reflect on your walk as the LORD's supper, Communion, is provided to all baptized Christians who choose to partake.
Following communion, the kids can go to children's church for kindergarten through 2nd grade or kids rock church for 3rd through 6th grade.

We value GOD's word at Ambassador, and as your minister, I will always share a message from the scriptures. My messages are in series that take us through books of the bible or topics from GOD's word.

There are so many ways to get involved in other activities around the church during the week. Sundays at 9:30am there are Discovery Classes for all ages and then the worship service begins at 10:30am.

There are small group meetings in the church and at homes around the area. Our youth minister, Natanyal Lanning and our children's coordinator, Adrianne Knavel will keep you informed of activities for your children.

We look forward to learning more about you!
